Well, I know many famous people and athletes, but today I am going to talk about an Indian athlete who became famous just recently. His name is Neeraj Chopra, and he won the gold medal for India in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in the javelin throw competition. Neeraj really captured the attention of all the Indian channels after his amazing feat, and that's how I came to know about him. Firstly, I learned how he is interested in athletics, and I learned about the struggles he faced. He narrowly missed qualifying for the Olympics in 2016, and he could have won a medal then as well. However, this narrow miss fueled his determination to perform this time. He mentioned that he could have won a silver or bronze medal, but he might not have won the gold medal this time if he had won in 2016. Both the national government and the government of Haryana, his home state, awarded him a financial reward for his amazing feat. Additionally, after listening to his interviews, I think he has a good personality too, and I started following him on Twitter and Instagram. He posts about social issues, and I think that famous people have the most to say about social issues because it creates awareness and brings change to the general public. He is also generous and has donated half of his award to charity, although he comes from a poor family.
