There are countless languages in the world that I hold in high regard, but if I had to choose one, the first that comes to mind is French. In fact, I have had the opportunity to be exposed to this language through my professors at my university. One of them, a Vietnamese teacher, completed his PhD in France. As a result, he speaks French fluently, like a native speaker. In terms of how I would learn this language, he recommended some free online courses that are available for beginners. He also offered to provide me with practical lessons whenever I need assistance. When I first started studying French, I found pronunciation to be the most challenging aspect, as the sounds are quite different from my native language. Furthermore, I also need to master various types of alphabets, grammar rules, and daily conversation, which can be tiring and overwhelming at times. Regarding the reason why I chose this language, I have to mention its popularity and the opportunities it could open up for me. In fact, after graduation, I want to apply for jobs in European countries, and French could significantly increase my chances of being accepted into an institution there.
