There are many beautiful buildings all over the world. But here I would like to speak about the Taj Mahal. It is one of the seven wonders of the world. The Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a symbol of love and peace. It is situated in Agra on the bank of the river Yamuna. The Taj Mahal is the tallest historical building in India, standing at 73 meters, or 245 feet in height. It is hard to believe that it is even taller than Qutub Minar, which is the tallest minaret in the world. The Taj Mahal is built of white marble, which was specially transported from Makrana, Rajasthan. It was completed in almost 20 years. There are many beautiful gardens and fountains that add to the beauty of the Taj Mahal. Many people, not only from India but also from all parts of the world, visit this place to see its beauty. There are beautiful expressions and carvings on the exterior as well as the interior walls. It is the finest example of Mughal architecture. The Taj Mahal has been designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO. Its historical value is undeniable today because of its popularity. Its color has changed from white, so there is a great need to preserve this beautiful monument for the future.
