I have knowledge about this job because one of my boss and friend work in the very renowned restaurant in Ahmedabad. So whenever I met him that time he described his professionals related to cooking and culinary skills. To excel as a chef several necessary skills are required thus have strong foundations related to food and different cooking techniques which really help to prepare different countries cuisines. Apart from that I believe they must require communication skills with their customers and teamwork with their colleagues. So all in all this is the job which I find really fascinating.
