I want to talk about the neighborhood that I know and that has changed. That neighborhood is my own area where I grew up and I have known this place since I was born. It is located in my hometown in the city center. neighborhood doesn’t look too pretty in terms of looks, it’s pretty unassuming. So it consists of very typical Soviet style blocks of flats, usually they are four to five stories and they usually is located one facing another and there is like a courtyard with a playground in the middle along with the parking space. Also, in my own neighborhood there is an access to a river side just across the road. So my neighborhood has changed considerably over the past 20 years. The first thing that comes to my mind in terms of changes is that wooden houses were completely demolished and high-rise residential buildings were built in their place instead. So, roads were widened from two lanes to three or four lanes roads. And that fact, along with the fact that playgrounds were reduced in size and parking spaces were increased, it tells us how transportation has changed over the times. People now drive more cars than before. And to be honest, I think those changes are good. They improved my neighborhood connectivity and overall neighborhood convenience. It has now more, my neighborhood has more shops and malls in the vicinity and I like it.
