I was born and raised in Calicut, a city located on the southwestern coast of the Indian subcontinent. When I was a child, there was this beautiful park called the Lions Park in our neighborhood. It was one of my favorite spots. I used to go there with my cousins, and we would spend hours there. We played there all the time until we were exhausted. The park had several rides, and every day, many people would visit to enjoy it. However, the current situation of the park is really disappointing. Due to a lack of maintenance, the park is almost on the brink of deterioration. The local authorities have neglected the park long enough for it to become an area for trash disposal. I have heard rumors about refurbishment initiatives, and I hope they are not just rumors. I hope our local authorities do something to protect this beautiful site. I hope they will be able to restore its beauty and elegance so that the newer generation can enjoy what we experienced.
