Band 8+: Describe a performance you enjoyed watching. You should say: what the performance was when and where you watched the performance who was performing (or who performed) and explain why you enjoyed the performance.

So, a performance that I enjoyed watching was the last concert that I’ve been. I was there with my friend, we bought tickets to see these artists that we really like. His name is Salvador Sobral, he is a Portuguese singer and he is very known because he won the Eurovision Music Contest. I don’t remember the year but it was the only Portuguese who did it, I think. And the show was very nice because he is a very open person and he also knows a lot of languages. So the concert had like Portuguese songs, it had Spanish songs because he lives in Spain for quite some time. Also, Catalan songs because he lives in Barcelona so he knows Catalan. And he also sang a song in French, another in Arabic to talk about the problematics surrounding Palestinian… Well, the conflicts that we all have been witnessing on the news lately. It was very strong and I feel like that part of the concert was why I also like it so much. Because he wasn’t afraid to be political and to have a voice. And to use his voice to say something that for him is very important. And I share that opinion, so it’s very important for me. And also because he used so many languages that I felt like somehow I was in another country, which for me is very refreshing. And I saw it in Lisbon with my friend Mariana, as I said. And I really enjoyed it. I was all day working and I had to go to Lisbon to see this. I don’t live in Lisbon and I felt like I was going to be very tired. But somehow it was so refreshing and so it was amazing. I was mesmerized by his voice and all the artists that he brought with him. Because he has like a whole band from all over the world.
