My most difficult period in university studies was my last year of studying when I had to write my thesis because I, the title of my thesis was predicting protein synthesis in the brain and I took a different approach at first. I had to use 3D MRIs in order to train an algorithm to predict protein synthesis. But I found the results were not good enough for research, so then I had to change the approach from using 3D images into just extracting text data from the same images and separate the amount of protein synthesis in different stages of sleep and actually gave me better results at the end. But the toughest part of that was the writing because I wasn’t used to writing academic articles before and they’re very strictly structured I would say. So yeah, I had to learn this whole new structure and find all the resources and connect my work to previous ones through references and other different studies that had similar results. And I couldn’t really find any. Like it was kind of a prototype. So I used the closest thing I could find, which was predicting lung cancer through positive transmission images.
