I would like to talk about my friend Shopon, who comes from the Chakma community and lives in Chittagong, Bangladesh. It's a hilly district in Bangladesh, and though we are from the same country, we have different cultural backgrounds, different languages, and different religions. I first started to know Shopon when we were in the same study group, and what I found about him is that he is a friendly and positive-minded person. He loves to share his cultural background with us, like his Biju festival and New Year festival, and how they prepare for those festivals, such as cleaning their homes and making different traditional foods. He brought us bamboo chicken, sticky rice, and so on. I also like to share my culture, like Durga Puja and Pahila Bhoshak, with him, and he became fascinated to learn about my culture, which I really appreciate. What makes him even more beautiful is that he has a calm and kind heart. I love to learn more about his culture and his language. I am learning today, and despite our different traditions, we have become very close, sharing our feelings and experiences with each other. I think I am lucky to have found him as a friend, and I really respect him for his honesty and good soul.
