What comes to mind when I think about someone who makes people feel welcome is a memory from a trip I took with my family to Dalat, a beautiful place in Vietnam. We were on a tour bus, and the guy who sat next to me was incredibly kind. I was feeling thirsty and asked him for some water. He was so thoughtful and gave me his own bottle. I was so grateful that I decided to spend time talking to him. It turned out we were from the same hometown and had similar interests. We both enjoyed traveling and were on a budget, so we stayed at the same homestay. One thing that really impressed me about him was his long, white hair. It was so beautiful and well-maintained. He had kind, clear eyes and a warm smile that made me feel comfortable and at ease. He was the kind of person who made you feel like you were already friends, even though we had just met. He was a true example of someone who knows how to make people feel welcome.
