When it comes to someone who genuinely loves cooking for others, the first person who brings to mind is my maternal grandmother. She is currently in her late 70s, but her passion for culinary apps has never faded. grandmother is incredibly versatile in the kitchen but her absolute specialty is traditional Vietnamese comfort food particularly for in Bun cha she’s doesn’t just cook simple meals she’s prepares elaborate fits whenever there’s a family gathering, she will spend hours, sometimes even days, simmering bones and shorting the credits, hooks, to ensure the flavors are impeccable. As far as I know, she is completely self-taught in the past. During times of hardship, she had to learn how to make the most out of limited ingredients over the decades. Through child and errors, she’s mastered the delicate patterns of sweet, sour, shorty and savory flavors that defines our national cuisine. I believe her motivations for cooking, for others, stands from herself less nature. For her, food is universal when which of love. She is a quiet, she is quite a reserved person who rarely expresses her affection to work. Instead, she pulls her heart and style into her dishes. Seeing her children and grandchildren devour the food with relish is what brings her youth to make sense of her family.
