The destination that I hold dear to my heart is my grandmother’s house. It is located at South Road in Jakarta, Indonesia. I first went there when I was just four years old. Initially only going there just to meet my grandparents, getting to know them, and that was my dad’s way of greeting his mother with his newborn son. It was a very memorable moment, meeting my grandmother for the first time, as she has right now become one of the greatest inspirations for me, not only to give me motivation to keep on going, but also just a person that can be used as an image to go off of a person that I can remember and overall become people that have a great impact of the world. But after going to her house and filled with antique chairs, antique old clocks and different types of cups and mugs. I was astonished by how creative she made her house, how she decorated her house with all the different types of antique things. But this memory has been clouded by the death of my mother, of my grandmother. Kicking the bucket, her kicking the bucket was probably one of the saddest moments in my life. I was dumbfounded at the sight of my grandmother laying there lifeless without moving a single muscle. But alas, this place has a special place in my heart. I will always remember it as a memory in that it’s happening.
