I love to travel all over the world. When I was in class 10, I went to the Janakpur temple with my colleagues. We were around 60 students along with teachers. We had a 10-day journey to the eastern region of Nepal, which has stunning views and natural scenery of tea gardens, although it is also a religious site. I think Janakpur is beautiful as it is the birthplace of Lord Mata Sita. It holds significant religious respect in the world and is also located on the list of heritage sites in Nepal. It is situated in the Dhanusa district. I know it had a profound impact on me; the people there were very friendly and were often seen sitting outside on the road. The roads were poorly managed and looked dirty. There were no toilets in individual houses, so we had to pay to use the roadside public toilets. I visited six years ago with my friends, but I think the situation has changed since then. They have taken steps to clean up the area, and the local political parties have participated in creating awareness programs about deforestation and the rules and regulations for maintaining and building toilets in every household. I find it impactful because the location and nature make it a respectful place. While it was quite dirty and less beautiful outside, I do not want to overlook the temple. The temple was a very beautiful and peaceful place, but the surrounding area was quite neglected and damaged.
