One of the most recent places I visited that was polluted was Pokhara. Pokhara is a very beautiful city. It's located in the country of Nepal, a few miles away from the capital city, Kathmandu. It's also one of the major tourist attractions because there are a lot of mountains, lakes, and caves that are naturally formed. It has a different kind of vibe, especially at night. The places are very colorful and vibrant. I visited there last summer. It's one of the major tourist attractions, and every tourist who comes to Nepal visits this place at least once in their life. However, due to urbanization, there are many industries and hotels being built in the area. Because of the huge amount of urbanization and commercialization as a tourist place, different businesses and owners are polluting the natural environment and exploiting natural resources heavily. Because of that, there is a lot of air pollution. It was very disappointing to see because it was such an amazing place consisting of natural beauty and scenery. The views were captivating and breathtaking, with natural beauty, rivers flowing from higher elevations to lower elevations. It's a very different kind of environment, surrounded by the beauty of nature. The air was polluted because of urbanization, a large amount of business owners migrating to the place and establishing their businesses. Specifically, they don't have proper sewage systems and they just let out or dispose of sewage into the water resources, which pollutes the water and degrades its quality. Some of the pollutants are insoluble in water and create a bad aroma, making it unpleasant to look at. There are also a lot of vehicles in the place because it's a huge tourist attraction and most people visit the place. People from all around the region also visit, which contributes to the pollution.
