One of the most significant events in my life was probably when I took part in a coding camp when I was in high school with Finnish and Japanese high school students. It took place in Oulu in my home city and it was really, really, really a new experience for me. There were a lot of different people, so I was constantly meeting new people and speaking a lot of English, which was a significant change for me, because before that I didn’t speak a lot of English, like in my daily life, so for a week I spoke mostly English with all the Finnish and all the Japanese students. I only spoke Finnish when I had something I didn’t know how to say in English. I think it was significant for me, because it really They drew me as a person and I got to learn how I act with new people and how I react to a lot of different changes. So I think it was a significant event because I felt like I grew a lot with that week long coding camp. Even though it feels like a small thing, I feel like because of the coding camp and all new people and speaking a lot of English, I grew as a person, felt more mature and felt like I could do anything now because I took a part in this coding camp which I couldn’t believe I could do. So that’s why I feel like it’s really the important moment for me. And I feel like even though it feels like a small, small, tiny, a week long part of my life, it changed me a lot. And it felt good and it felt groundbreaking even.
