I know that what took me a long time to learn is singing. The reason why I wanted to learn how to sing is because I wouldn't say it's a tradition where I'm from in the Philippines, but I grew up hearing people sing karaoke all the time. I always thought that singing is basically just the instrument of a person, and it was beautiful to me. Since I was young, I grew up watching people sing and listening to people sing. Once I got into school, around the fourth or fifth grade, I started going into music class where I would learn instruments. Instruments can do so much, but I feel like the power of the voice is stronger. So, I started to have classes where I could learn to sing. I would also practice at home with my family, and we had our own karaoke machine. My sisters were interested in that too, so we would sing together. We would play, I don't know if you know the game Band Hero, so we would play like guitar and drums, and someone would be the singer, which would usually be me. Another reason why I was motivated to do that when I got older was that when I was in school, we used to have talent shows. I was always interested in music, so I was involved in the music side of school. In music class, I would go to drumming contests, but that was boring. Then I started to focus on singing because everybody else around me was singing, and I wanted to be like them. When I got to the talent show, I started doing better and better, and I won a couple of times, which motivated me. The problem is that I've been inconsistent; I would focus on singing for a few months, then I would stop, and then I would go back to it. I actually stopped for a few years, and I only just recently started trying to focus on it again.

Why is educating young people hard?
