My sister had never really baked a cake on her own before so she had watched videos bought the ingredients and spent almost the entire afternoon preparing it. She even wrote Happy Birthday Via on top with a little bit of chocolate ice cream. When I tasted it, I found surprisingly delicious, soft, rich and just sweet enough. We all laughed because one side was a little overbaked but nobody cared at all. I suppose the cake became memorable not because of its apprecy appearance but because it reflected afford and family warmth in our culture, these small gestures often mean much more than expensive gifts. So, yes, that cake remains one of the most touching things I have ever received.
