One thing that makes me incredibly proud is getting accepted into the PhD program at the University of Sapienza in Italy. I had always dreamed of pursuing a PhD, and this particular program in pharmacy was renowned for its excellence. It was 2020, and I was actively searching for opportunities online when a friend reached out, telling me about the program and the available seats. I immediately decided to apply. The application process was quite intense, and I had to work diligently to complete all the necessary documentation before the deadline. Thankfully, I managed to submit everything on time. Two weeks later, I received an email informing me that I had been selected for an interview. I was ecstatic! I shared the news with my mother, who was incredibly supportive and gave me her blessings. The interview was challenging, and I knew I had to put in a lot of effort to succeed. I started preparing diligently, reaching out to former PhD students at the university for guidance. To my surprise, they were incredibly helpful and willing to share their experiences. They helped me prepare a 10-15 minute presentation, which I delivered during the interview. The interview went well, and I anxiously awaited the results. A week later, I received an email confirming that I had been selected as one of two students out of 20 applicants. This was a truly remarkable achievement, especially considering the high level of competition from applicants worldwide. It was a moment of immense pride for me, knowing that my hard work and dedication had paid off.
