Telling the truth is not as easy as it may appear sometimes. For example, once my friend asked me to lend him some money. But at that time, I was struggling to buy a house. I was critically in need of funds. My wife and I had collected our savings and intended to buy a house. That's why we couldn't lend him any money. The more important reason was that my close friend had actually lent him money for a while, but he didn't pay it back. I had to remind him several times, and after that, he finally gave me my money back, but he was angry. I don't know why, but it was kind of a bad situation. At that time, I had two options: one was to simply tell him that I had no money, sorry, and the other was to tell the truth that he had bad credit and I needed my money back. Although I had money, I could not lend it to him. I selected the second option because, most of the time, I prefer to tell the truth; it's more convenient for me. My friend's reaction was that he got angry, and for a few days, he didn't answer my calls. But finally, he settled down, and we are now friends.
