Well, one time I changed my opinion was about classical literature. Never had I imagined I would enjoy reading this kind of books. I always thought they would do it too complicated. Compared to modern novels like thrills or science fiction, classics seems completely outdated. I remember a friend of mine kept inciting a read crime and punishment by Dostoyevsky at first. I totally rejected the idea. I even said something like, why on earth would I waste my time on that? But he wouldn’t stop talking about how powerful and deep it was. So eventually I dedicated to give it a short just to get him off my back. It was that book that truly changed my opinion. The plot was intense. The emotions were real and the character were incredibly well-writing. Compared to the fast-paced fiction, I usually read this book made me think deeply and reflect on human nature. What surprised me most wasn’t just the story itself, but how strongly I connected to it. It made me realize that I had been completely wrong. It wasn’t the book that was boring. It was the way I had judged it before, even giving it a chance. Only after finishing, I did it to realize how much I had understood. I was just a bit ashamed to be honest. I had to read my words, but I was glad I did. Since then, I have started recommending classics to other people, which to be honest is something I never thought I would do. So overall, this experience was really wake-up call. It taught me to keep an open mind in order to judge a book mind’s cover literally and figuratively.
