One practical skill that I have really acquired over the years is cooking. It might sound simple, but I believe that being able to whip up delicious meals is quite an art. I started learning to cook when I was in my late teens, primarily out of necessity. I moved away from home for college and had to fend for myself. At first, I struggled with the basics, like burning toast or cooking pasta, which was a regular occurrence. However, my enthusiasm pushed me to keep trying and improve my culinary techniques. The techniques that really sparked my interest in cooking were browsing through recipes, blogs, and watching cooking shows. I was particularly fascinated by how chefs could transform simple ingredients into a meal.
