There was one day I went out with my dad to a mall to buy some groceries, and that particular mall had a cafe area. As we were walking past the cafe, I wasn't really paying attention to who was seated right in front of me. When we had walked past the person, my dad tapped me and asked whether I knew who that person was. I realized I hadn't paid attention to whoever was seated there, so I asked who it was. He said, oh, that's a very, very popular poet. This particular poet happens to be one of my favorite poets in my country, Nigeria. I was so upset about it. By the time I realized who it was and begged my dad to take me back, he was already gone. I was really upset about it. Honestly, that could have been avoided. I could have had the chance to meet him if only I had been paying more attention. I felt really, really upset, and my heart was just not beating the same after that. I accept that everything has passed, but honestly, I wish I could go back in time and meet him.
