And I asked who it was. Then he said, oh, that’s a very, very popular poet. And this particular poet happens to be one of my favorite poets in my country, Nigeria. And then I was so, so upset about it. And then by the time I had already realized who I was and begged my dad to take me back, he was already gone. And I was so obsessed about it. Honestly, that could have been avoided. I could have gotten the chance to meet him if only I had been paying more attention. And that was getting, I felt, really, really upset. and then my heart was just not beating the same after that. I do accept that everything has passed, but honestly I wish I could go back in time and go and meet him.
