Okay, so the food that I tasted at that time, it was called bara and it’s a food which holds a significance cultural importance in Nehwari culture and the food bara that I tried, it is in my friend’s house, is Nabali and I’m Brahmin so I went to his home and he made me taste that food for the first time and I can’t believe how it tasted. So I was simply with my friend and I tasted that food called bara for the first time and it was like a bit of mixture of vegetables and meat. You mince it down and add in some kind of dough and you make a thin type of roti and you just shake it and you can cut it like pizza and you can simply eat it it’s really so much better than pizza and other things like in pizza what you have is simply the dough which is baked and the chars right but that’s not the case the whole dough is mixed with the food and that bara is not that wayly and the most important thing is that it is really tasty, delicious and really good for health. Aside from that it holds a significant cultural importance. What they say it to me is when the late King Malla dynasty in Nepal ruled Kathmandu Valley way long before and when they wanted a food which is really different and unique and they hold the competition and in that competition bara stood out and that’s why Navari peoples are so fun for bara and you can simply have it in your way if you are a Vezra bara and if you are non Vezra you have many options you can go with like egg, chicken, bov, anything. but it was a very exciting experience.
