And at that time I was so exhausted, I was doing volunteering work at a NGO in Kenya. So I didn’t want to venture into another new thing that will drain my energy. Considering that business needs your 100% attention and you should be physically at the shop, I felt at that time that I was not able to do that. But he insisted. He wanted me to make money. His argument was that when I stay at a volunteering work, I’m not getting good money. I’m not able to reach the lifestyle that I wanted. And so he wanted the best for me, but at that time we could not agree on our agendas because I wanted peace, I wanted to go and stay at home with my mom to get a little bit pampered. you know when you are at home, you get food, everything is taken care of, there is no hustling. So yeah, it cost a heated conversation between us and at the end of the week, he realized that I just needed a break. The Nairobi life was so busy and I needed a breather back at the countryside. So yeah, the conversation ended a a bit better because we laughed about it and he was like okay you take your break when you’re ready and mentally okay you come back to Nairobi and start a business I’ll be here to support you and yeah I felt that was a good conversation even if we were disagreeing at the end of the day we go to know each other well and he got to understand that I wasn’t lazy or complaining but I was It’s just exhausted.
