I'd like to start with a little background. I have a large extended family, including my parents and my brother and his family. I have two daughters, and when my wife and I want to go on vacation for some relaxation, we leave our children with my parents. In return, we promise to buy them something from our trip for our daughters. There was one time when we were planning to go to the beach. We knew they loved all the summer fun, like swimming in the sea or the pool. It was really hard to explain to them why they should stay with their grandparents. As usual, we promised to buy them some presents, since we would be in another city. Eventually, they agreed to stay. We went on our vacation, just the two of us, and had a wonderful time. We swam, sunbathed, and went to evening entertainment. Eventually, we completely forgot about the presents. I felt so guilty because we always bought them something before, and it was embarrassing. However, we stopped at a store, went to the children's department, and bought them some presents, some gifts, like dolls, which she adores from the cartoons she always watches. And we went to our holiday, only two of us, and spent a quality time. It was amazing. We were uh, swimming, sun, um, bathing, going to night entertainings.
