This is a very challenging question for me because I rarely make promises. There is a saying that if you make a promise to someone, it's because you have no intention to keep your word. And I truly believe this is true. However, I would like to talk about one promise that I made to myself a few months ago. So I was studying to take a test and I promised myself that if I passed this test, I wouldn't eat chocolate for one month. When I got the results, I was thrilled. However, I started to think about my promise and I consider myself a very chocoholic person. I eat chocolate every day after lunchtime. After lunch, I have a craving to eat chocolate and at the beginning it was very hard because I had the desire to eat chocolate, but every time that I looked at the chocolate, I reminded myself of my promise and I didn't want to screw up my promise. So from the middle to the end of the month, it became easier since I switched the chocolate for something else sweet. And I made that promise because I'm a very spiritual person. Every goal or achievement that I want to accomplish, I always start with God and ask him to help me, and I think it's a kind of motivation when you make promises to achieve your goals.
