There are certain milestones in life that require a lot of hard work and determination. Well, I would like to talk about one of the most challenging things I ever did, which was creating and publishing my own book. It had been a long-standing dream of mine, but turning the dream into reality required immense dedication, effort and perseverance. The journey began when I decided to compile my ideas and experiences into a structured format. Since the book was related to IELTS preparation, I wanted to ensure it would be genuinely helpful for students. I started by researching common problems faced by test-checkers and gathering effective strategies to address them. Over the next several months, I spent countless hours writing, editing and refining the content. There were times when I felt stuck struggling with writers’ block or doubting whether my work was good enough. However, I pushed myself to stay committed, often working late at night or working up early to meet my writing goals. One of the biggest challenges was balancing my work at HAXAS with writing the book and Managing my professional responsibilities while dedicating time to the book was not easy. Additionally, finding a publisher and going through the entire publishing process, profiting, designing the cover and marketing was a completely new experience for me. There were moments of frustration and exhaustion but I didn’t give up. With the support of my colleagues and the encouragement of my students, I finally completed the book, got it published. When I finally held a physical copy of my book in my hands, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishing and pride. The most rewarding part was seeing students benefit from it. As many of them told me how helpful the book was in their health preparation.
