Thank you for the question. I’d really like to explain the time when I was very surprised by an occurrence and it happened just last year when our family went to a short getaway in KL, Kuala Lumpur. We were supposed to be staying in a particular hotel in downtown KL. We arrived at the hotel on midnight. It was already very dark and we were already very tired. We told the receptionist that we have a booking under my mom’s name and we gave him our passports and while he checked the booking he eventually found nothing under my mom’s name. That was when we realized that my mom failed to pay the hotel booking, that’s why the booking didn’t go through as planned and we were left with no hotel booking at all Why was I surprised? I think it was mainly because my mom already told us that everything’s gonna be fine that we have already had everything in order That’s why we were able to leave the house freely and go on the holiday only to find out that the booking fell through. And what I’ve learned from this experience is that first we need to recheck the booking before we actually go to the holiday. And second, we need to remind each other of what we need to be doing. And third, as the eldest daughter, as always, I need to be the one to supervise and to recheck and to remind my mom, my forgetful mom in fact, and my not-so-covering brother about our holiday together.
