So one of the iconic landmarks of Istanbul is Galata Tower. Galata Tower attracts a significant number of tourists each year. It is located in the vibrant district of Beyoğlu. The Galata Tower was constructed by the Genoese, and it was first used as an observatory by them, but later on, the Ottoman Empire used Galata Tower as a prison. The tower offers breathtaking views of Istanbul from the top. There is an interesting belief that when you climb the tower with someone, whoever you climb to the top with, you will marry him or her in the future. I think this belief makes a visit to Galata Tower more memorable. Galata Tower stands as a testament to Istanbul's rich cultural heritage. I believe it is one of the must-see attractions in Istanbul and also in Turkey.
