Here today I would like to take this opportunity to talk about an area of science that I am very much interested in. It is none other than genetics and plant breeding. I came to know about this subject in my graduation. I opted for BSc agriculture for my graduation degree in which there were about 72 subjects but the most most fascinating subject that took my that took my whole attention at that time was genetics and plant breeding. I wondered how and I always wondered that how a plant can grow without disturbing the whole structure of soil and how all these seeds are made by the scientists. So it is the subject that is particularly related to the modifications in the seeds so that we can get their desirable characters and those which are undesirable can be eliminated for the growth and advancements in the crops. If I have to say that why I think this is an interesting area I would like to say that nowadays malnutrition as well as starvation is one of the most difficult problems that the government have to solve. So with the help of genetics and plant breeding we can grow the we can make the seeds that are drought tolerant as well as can be grown in less time so that for the whole year we can get the most of the crops to stop this type of problems. I came to know I studied various books at that time related to genetics and plant breeding and I am looking forward to I am looking forward to get some other information from various research papers. So I would definitely like to learn more about this subject in near by future.
