I recently read an article about how sleep affects our brain and overall health. I came across it on the National Geographic website while browsing for science-related articles. The report explained that sleep plays a crucial role in memory consolidation, emotional stability, removal of toxins from the brain. It also mentioned a fascinating study that showing that people who sleep less than six hours a night are more prone to anxiety, memory problems and even hard issues. I decided to read it because I’ve always been fascinated by neurology and the way the brain functions, but I wanted something that wasn’t too technical. The article was written in a straightforward language, so without a medical background, it was easy to follow. After reading it, I felt amazed and abilt guilty because I sometimes sacrifice sleep for studying or entertainment. It really motivated me to pay more attention to my sleep schedule and take better care of my health.
