I believe most of the Turkish people would answer these questions with the exact same answer. It is actually Ataturk, known as the father of the Turks. The reason we love him so much is that he founded the Turkish Republic. He fought against many countries, both European and Asian, at the same time to defend our country. He sadly passed away in his early 50s, which is why he is the most important historical figure in our country. I find him very interesting because he founded the country again while it was under attack from many sides. Turkey is surrounded by three different seas, and it was very difficult to defend it with the lack of manpower and weapons. Although we lacked these resources, we successfully managed to defend it and actually founded the country. We are very grateful for what he has done for the country and the Turkish people.
