In today's fast-paced era, humans have invented different things to make the lives of people easier. Today, I would like to talk about an invention that has changed people's lives in many ways. This invention is smartphones. Nowadays, we are all dependent on smartphones, and it is quite hard to live our lives without them. I still remember during the lockdown when there were strict rules and regulations imposed by the government. We were not able to go outside; it was for our own safety. At that time, I was out of some household items and other grocery items. I did not know what to do. My friend suggested that I place an online order. With the help of my smartphone, he placed an online order for me. Within 20 minutes, I received all the groceries and household items. Because of the advanced features of the smartphone, I was able to place a quick order. My smartphone instructor asked me how to place an order because it was my first time. There are also other benefits of using smartphones. We can talk to our family members. As a student, I am living here in Canada, and my family is far away. I FaceTime with my family members on a daily basis. Apart from this, we can use smartphones to run social media applications, chat with friends, and play video games. Smartphones have influenced people's lives differently. Children use smartphones to play video games, while the younger generation uses smartphones for entertainment, to watch movies, and to chat with friends. However, there is one drawback: it is difficult for older people to use smartphones because of the advanced features. We can teach them so that they can use it for their betterment. Another drawback is that our lives are too dependent on smartphones and other technical equipment. We are too addicted to smartphones.
