After my father went abroad and since I work at school from morning until evening, my mother want to communicate with someone, particularly with my dad, while he was away. To facilitate this, we bought her a new smartphone so she could stay in touch with relatives and my father. I taught her how to download various apps for communication and video calls. She was excited and I think it was a fascinating experience for her, since it was her first time using smartphone. While teaching her, I felt like a chat instructing an elder in something new which was quite unusual role for me. And I was proud of myself for helping her navigate this technology.
