The exotic food I've chosen to describe is sushi. My friends and I try to explore new ethnic foods at least once a week. A couple of months ago, we decided to go to a Japanese restaurant to try sushi or shrimp. I knew that I hated seafood, especially fish and shrimp, but my friends insisted on going there, and I finally agreed. It was a Japanese restaurant known for its sushi, and it was very well designed. The ceiling was embellished with sculptures of fish, which was really eye-catching and interesting. When we started eating the sushi, I found it really disgusting as it was rather chewy, and I didn't realize that it was uncooked fish. I couldn't understand the taste or the texture because I don't like cooked fish, let alone uncooked fish. On top of that, it had a strong odor that really irritated me. I regretted ordering sushi, and if I had ordered shrimp, I would have tolerated it better. So yeah, that was a really bad experience.
