One of the most expensive things I bought for myself was actually a bottle of perfume called Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds. I bought it when I was only 13, and it cost about 1,575,000 rupees at that time, which was quite young to be spending that much money on a fragrance. I remember discovering it after smelling it on someone at a family gathering; one of my aunties from the Netherlands used that perfume, so I was immediately impressed by how elegant, strong, and long-lasting it was. I tried it, and the scent lasted on my skin for about 8 to 12 hours, which at that age felt incredibly luxurious. I eventually found it in that department store. No, my auntie from the Netherlands sent it to me, and I gave her the money. I still remember how excited I was when I finally purchased it. It wasn't just the perfume itself; it was the whole feeling of buying something that made me feel grown-up, almost sophisticated. Even though I was still a teenager, I felt a mix of happiness and pride because it was the first time I bought something expensive with entirely my own savings. I use it quite often, especially for special occasions such as family events, school ceremonies, or even just going out for a nice day with friends because the smell is just so luxurious. It's like a mix of fruit, some flowers, and sandalwood notes. Every time I wore it, I felt a little more confident, as if the fragrance added a touch of elegance to my personality. It became a sort of signature scent for me during that period of my life. Looking back, buying that perfume was a memorable experience. It taught me the value of treating myself and choosing things that make me feel good. Even now, when I smell White Diamonds, it brings back memories.
