They want to make a profit. This is why they produce large amounts of it and export it to different areas around the world. In the past, they weren’t using machines or they weren’t producing canned food in general because there weren’t any machines that helped in the process. It was nearly impossible to do it manually because of the lack of labor back then. Now the process is simpler, but it requires more money to buy the machines and to establish factories that are suitable to make this kind of food. I think that in the future there will be more canned products to be produced and exported because my country is an agricultural one. It has many crops, not just chickpeas, in various fields.
