A rural town in Vietnam that I plan to visit in the future is Ho An, I’m particularly interested in going during the autumn months around September to November when the weather is cooler and the city is less crowded. Ho An is known for its well preserved Asian town which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and I’ve always wanted to experience its unique blend of history, culture and natural beauty. I would love to go with a few friends who appreciate history and love exploring new places. In Ho An we could spend our days wandering through the charming streets filled with lanterns and historic architecture. One of the first things I want to do is visit the famous Japanese covered bridge which is an iconic symbol of the town. Taking photos there would be a great way to capture the essence of Ho An. I’m also excited to try the local cuisine. Ho An is re-owned for its delicious food such as cow lode and white roast dumplings. I would love to join a cooking class to learn how to make this dish myself. Exploring the local markets would also be a fantastic experience where we can sample street food and buy unique handicrafts made by local artisans. Another activity I would love to do is take a boat ride along the two-boat driver river. The pits full of waters and ski scenic surroundings would make for a relaxing experience and I’ve heard that the sunset views from the rivers are breathtaking.
