Yes, definitely. People do read more nowadays because, in the past, we didn't think about our lives, the existential problems of our soul, or our path. Even our way of action wasn't well thought out, and I think people nowadays think more about their actions towards different people. For example, I have a grandfather who told me that he has a friend from the medical department where he worked for six years in the past when he was involved in major surgeries.
