I don't think it's necessary for a good book to have a good plot twist. There are so many factors that contribute to the success of a book. A plot twist is just one small factor in the overall experience. There are many famous books that don't have a good plot twist, or even a twist at all, and they still manage to be successful.

I think it’s not necessary. The story life of a novel should be built with several portraits to bring about tension and surprise to its reader. That, there is no room for portraits in sign books or non-fiction ones. This genre requires knowledge and theories represented in a way as clear and understandable as possible.
