I think that at high school level our English classes took place three to four times per week for a duration of about 40 minutes per class. So yeah a couple of times per week I would spend about an hour including finishing my homework studying English. However I think that learning English also happened outside of school for example when watching videos, watching movies, playing games. So yeah it must have been hours per week.
