So I remember that it was half a year ago when I applied to exchange school. It was US school and I was preparing to apply for this for a long time. I’ve been preparing for two years. I was getting done my essays and learning a language. I submitted my application in September and it was already accepted and I had to pack my things, get on a plane and fly to my dream. But two days before my flat, my mother told me the news about my grandmothers illness. I don’t remember what it specifically was but I guess it was a stroke. So every member of my family had to help her. So they all gathered together in the hospital and they didn’t have any time to look after the kids and maintain household. So I had to manage all of that by myself with my sister and I could fly away but I just couldn’t do that as I thought that it would be very disrespectful to act like that, leaving her because I didn’t know whether she would still be there when I would be back home or not. By that I helped not only one member of my family but all of them by sacrificing my dream. But I still consider this achievement as completed because I got accepted anyway.
