I am a very empathic person, so when it comes to my family members or the people that I value and love, I can sacrifice everything just to help them. I remember that it was half a year ago when I applied to an exchange school. It was a US school, and I had been preparing to apply for this for a long time. I had been preparing for two years, getting my essays done and learning the language. I submitted my application in September, and it was accepted. I had to pack my things, get on a plane, and fly to my dream. But two days before my flight, my mother told me the news about my grandmother's illness. I don't remember what it specifically was, but I guess it was a stroke. Every member of my family had to help her, so they all gathered together in the hospital, and they didn't have any time to look after the kids or maintain the household. I had to manage all of that by myself with my sister. I could have flown away, but I just couldn't do that, as I thought it would be very disrespectful to leave her. I didn't know whether she would still be there when I got back home or not. By doing that, I helped not only one member of my family but all of them by sacrificing my dream. I still consider this achievement as completed because I got accepted anyway.
