I think it's quite a challenge. For me, I choose to go with my gut in most situations. Everybody has a unique perception of success. When you are talking to someone and you find that their body language, words, sentences, or eye contact are not genuine, it feels a bit strange. You can easily infer that this person is telling a lie. Our brain is like a high-speed advanced processor that can identify these subtle changes. So I think relying on gut instinct is a good method.
