In the future, no one knows what will happen, but most architects will have a significant shift in their designs. As you may know, global warming and climate change are two main factors that will lead to changes in houses. This means more natural building materials might be used instead of artificial ones. Houses may also have more stories to deal with overpopulation and scarcity of land. I think houses will be more energy efficient; maybe they will have more windows to take advantage of natural light. So, with my limited knowledge, that's all I can see in the future.
