Well, I hold a strong belief that the concept of individualism or collectivism has affected personality development. Why? I think it can be derived from how the parents nurture their children to be more individualistic or more collective. For example, children who have individualism traits tend to tackle all the problems that appear in their lives by themselves. They tend not to share their problems or seek suggestions, relying on themselves to address the issues. In contrast, those with collectivism traits tend to tackle problems or difficulties together with their friends, which can increase or strengthen relationships with others, leading to a more harmonious environment.
