I think globalization has had good and bad effects on local cultures and diversity around the world. For good reasons, globalization has made us more attuned to and able to recognize more cultures around the world. For instance, K-pop has dominated the world for about 10 years, and that is because of globalization; people have come to know K-pop. However, it has also had bad effects in that some cultures might have died as other cultures from different parts of the world have entered that region, potentially stopping people from practicing and appreciating their own cultures.
