I want to talk about the famous river Ganga. It is not only a vital river in India, but it is also a symbol of spirituality and cultural heritage. It originates from the Gangotri glacier in the Himalayas. It flows over 2,500 km across several states before merging with the Bay of Bengal. It is one of the sacred rivers in Hinduism. It is believed that a person who dips in its waters cleanses one of their sins. It is also believed to provide drinking water and help with agricultural irrigation. There has been a lot of pollution in past years, such as plastic waste, industrial effluents, and untreated sewage. It has been heavily polluted, but the current Prime Minister has focused on it and made significant changes. He cleaned it, put a focus on it, and restored the original Ganga river.
