While there are many ways technology can be used effectively in the classroom, making lessons as engaging as possible for students to increase their overall motivation and willingness to study, there are definitely some drawbacks to technology in a classroom, such as limited attention spans, inability to focus, and creating distractions. As we know, technology produces many distractions for everyone. Ads may pop up at very inconvenient moments when students are focusing on their assignments. On the other hand, technology might also improve their ability to filter information, which is one of the essential skills to have in the classroom and overall in life.
