Social media is everywhere right now. I can say that social media influences people's perceptions of different cultures. For example, I'm fond of England and America, and I'm trying to follow all these bloggers on Instagram and TikTok to find out more about their cultures. This knowledge increases your cultural awareness. When you live in one country, you don't know how they live or why their lives are so diverse from yours. I have the opportunity to speak with people from other countries and different cultures, and I found out that we have different thoughts even about Christmas or New Year. In my country, in the Alignée Crème, we have New Year as a family holiday, but in European cultures, they focus more on friends. So, this shows me the influence on people's perceptions of different cultures. You can create a beautiful picture of America for yourself, but unfortunately, in reality, it's not the same.
