I think it is about the mindset. In my traditional family, people usually got married when they were below 20 years old, but today in Indonesia, especially in my family, they do not consider that matter anymore. They prefer to let their children get married when they are ready. For example, it is mostly above 20 years old now. I think this is also the impact of globalization on the culture of marriage in Indonesia. Many people in Indonesia are currently aware that they have to be at least 21 years old for females to get married and 25 for males to get married so that they are ready to have a family.
